As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Hamilton; his children, Nadine Hamilton (Scott Irwin), Matthew Hamilton and Mark Hamilton; his grandson David DaCosta; and his siblings, Betty (Hamilton), Affleck (Sheldon Affleck) and Murray Hamilton (Ilene Hamilton).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home - Playter Chapel (157 Main St S, Newmarket, ON L3Y3Y9).
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations in Dave's memory to support preservation efforts for the Hampton Lighthouse in Nova Scotia.
