She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Akerman and Loretta Akerman; and her brother Allan (Debbie). She is survived by: her husband Peter Smyth; her children, Erin Smyth (Caleb) and Lauren Belanger (Andrew); and her grandchildren, Kenzie and Sawyer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Home of Kerry and Moira Burden.
In lieu of flowers can be made in Debbie's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
