He was predeceased by : his wife Beverley Beacroft; and his parents, Reginald Brown and Harriet Brown. He is survived by : his daughters, Anne (Andrew Byerlay) and Karen (Stephen Ansell); his grandchildren, Graham Ansell and Ryan Byerlay; his sister Sylvia Jewison; and his siblings-in-law, Valerie and Peter Mortenson.

Due to pandemic restrictions, a private burial has taken place.
