James Strain Obituary

We bid farewell to James Strain of Newmarket, Ontario, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 17, 2025 at the age of 92. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his sisters, Charlotte Smith and Anne Strain. He is survived by: his sons, Robert (Dana), Bruce (Sheila) and Scott (Yvonne); his wife Eleanor Spark; and his grandchildren, Kaitlynn (Arthur), Brittany (Aidan), Jessica (Cameron), William, Carleigh (Nathan) and Danielle (Fraser).

In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations may be made to the Southlake Health – Cardiac Care through the Southlake Foundation in Newmarket, or to Operation Smile Canada – a charity that repairs cleft palates in young children worldwide.
