“To Jane's family, our condolences. Wife Meg and I just learned yesterday of Jane's passing. Jane was always a sweetheart. We were always a distance away, in Chicago, and now in Oregon, but every so often we would talk. The standing joke was that in birthday cards, Christmas cards and the like only some of Tom 's handwriting was legible. I'd call to catch up. She and Eddie were ever so charming. We're sad we never made it to visit. However, she will always have a place in our hearts.”
