John Louis Bot Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Louis Bot (Newmarket, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Bot and Dina Bot; his brother Luigi Bot; and his son Adrian Bot (Aubrey). He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughter Anne McBride (Graham); his grandson Grayson John McBride; his siblings, Adriana Dametto (Pietro) and Rick Bot (Sandy); his nieces and nephews, David Dametto (Stephanie), Sonia Brushett (Kevin), Erin Genua (Michael) and Steven Bot (Stephanie); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brooke, Kristin, Lauren, Joshua, Nolan, Luca and Cassia.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home (524 Davis Dr, Newmarket, ON L3Y2P3). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (14485 Jane St, King City, ON L7B1A3). A reception was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, John requested that memorial donations be made to The Hospital for Sick Children or the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
