She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Coffey and Mary Coffey; and her brother Jack. She is survived by: her children, Bill (Kate), Andrew and Sabrina (Bill); her grandchildren, Miller, Will, Mary, Dawson and Melanie; and her siblings, Marie (Rick), Rita, Mary-Lou (Cam), Tom, Terry, Joe and Jim (Shirley). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Parish (17955 Leslie St, Newmarket, ON L3Y9A4).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be directed to Inn From the Cold, Newmarket.

“I met Marilyn when I volunteered for the Friday Community Meal at Inn From the Cold. Marilyn cheerfully greeted everyone with a big smile, a warm touch on the shoulder and a willingness to listen to someone's story. With our late friend Maureen, we often met for lunch to discuss how the current issues of the day could be corrected. Marilyn spoke lovingly about the various members of her family and especially when there was a new grandchild. She made beautiful quilts. I'll miss her.”
