He was predeceased by: his siblings, Peter, Shirley and Claire. He is survived by: his wife Rowena; his children, James, Timothy and Tricia; his grandchildren, Kae, Hunter and Tristan; and his siblings, Grant and Margaret. He is also survived by uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada and The Canadian Cancer Society.
