She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Errol Thompson; her parents, Thomas Kirkham and Victoria Kirkham; her sister Audrey Carson; and her siblings-in-law, Ralph, Alice Thompson, Jake Kirkham, Ray Carson, Art Morris and Alan McNamee.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Shukla (Rajesh), Ken Thompson and Carolyn Fabing (Joey); her grandchildren, Emily and Cameron Fabing; her siblings, Gene, James Kirkham, June Kirkham, Vivian Kehoe and Mary McNamee; and her sisters-in-law, Alma Morris, Harriet Thompson and Elaine Hofman.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 9th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, July 10th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home (157 Main St S, Newmarket, ON L3Y3Y9). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel of the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home (157 Main St S, Newmarket, ON L3Y3Y9).
