She is survived by: her spouse Patrick Brathwaite; her child Anna; her parents, Don Dort and Sandy Lacroix; her stepfather Marc Lacroix; her siblings, Colleen, Leanne, Diana and Marco; her stepchildren, Andrea and Tyler; her siblings-in-law, Donna, Jackie and Brian; and her parents-in-law, Jean and Livingston. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.

Because of her love of animals, donations may be made to the Ontario Humane Society.
