Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carmela Bertone (Niagara Falls, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 87, on December 22, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Germano and Nicolina Germano (Petrullo); her husband Bruno; and her siblings, Lucia Bove, Giovanni of Italy, Giuseppe of Italy, Luigi of Italy and Carmine Germano of Italy.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Carr (Howard) of Lewiston, NY and Sam Bertone (Lily) of Oakville, ON.; her grandchildren, Stephanie Carr of Grand Island, NY, Brandon Carr (Michelle) of Youngstown, NY and Katie Bertone of Oakville, ON; and her great grandchildren, Adelais and Emma Grace.

Since her family could not be with her, they would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the front line workers on the COVID Floor at St. Catharines General Hospital for their courage and compassion, and to thank you for being with Carmela in her final hours.
