We announce the death of Joan Suzanne Barden of Niagara Falls, Ontario, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 78. Joan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Barden and Margaret Barden; her sister Marion Gibson; and her great-nephew Ethan Dean. She is survived by: her sister Mary Beth Dean; her brother-in-law Bill Dean; her nephew Corey Dean; her niece Jaime Dean; and her great-nephews, Holden and Hudson Dean. She is also survived by her aunt and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Patterson Funeral Home (6062 Main St, Niagara Falls, ON L2G5Z9). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Patterson's. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Fairview Cemetery (4501 Stanley Ave, Niagara Falls, ON L2E2E8).
In Joan's memory, donations to St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
