He was predeceased by: his brothers, Frank Thorne and Tim Thorne. He is survived by: his spouse Anne Piper; his children, Jonathan Piper (Tressie) and Tara Thorne (Michael Koski); his parents, Carl Thorne and June Radford; and his siblings, Nancy Risto, Wayne Thorne, Wendy Lackie (Al), Bob Thorne (Sharon), Tom Thorne and Vicky Thorne.

Memorial donations to the First Niagara Scout Troop or to a charity of ones choice would be appreciated.
