She is survived by: her husband Gary Lewis; her stepchildren, Michael and Michelle Lewis (Anthony); her brothers, Klaas Westera (Terezinha) and Lambert Westera (Colleen); her nieces, Jodi Melnyk (Christopher) and Janine Tessmer (Kris, family: Meylisa Kerince); and her sister-in-law Barb. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honour to the Niagara Falls SPCA and Humane Society.
