She was predeceased by: her husband Gilbert Smith; her son Richard Smith; and her brother Dr. Richard Nero. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Manuela Smith; her grandchildren, Alexandra Aylesworth (Kyle) and Jordan De Medeiros Smith (Krista); and her great grandchildren, Rogan and Hudson.
