He is survived by: his parents, Bill Vanstone and Margaret Vanstone; his grandparents, Caroline Fare Vanstone, Frederick Vanstone, Vera Gibson Burleigh and Eugene Burleigh; his siblings, Deborah Nichols, William "Wilbur" Nichols and Johnny Vanstone; his niece Princess Frommann; his friend Dire Straits; his brother John; and also Leigh-Ann Margaret Frommann (Miles).
