He was predeceased by: his daughter Rebecca Goertz; and his siblings, Violet Kliewer (Peter), Orlando Goertz (Vera), Lillian Loewen (Frank), Wilf Goertz and Lenora Berkau (Werner).
He is survived by: his wife Vivien; his children, Isaac Goertz and Laurel Goertz; his grandchildren, Melanie, Zachary and Nicki Goertz; and his siblings, Ken Goertz (Adeline) and Rosalie Fournier (John).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St, Vineland, ON L0R2C0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Tallman Funeral Homes (Fireside Room) (3277 King St, Vineland, ON L0R2C0). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery (1483 Lakeshore Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S1J0).
