Helga Froese-Rahn Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Helga Froese-Rahn (Niagara on the Lake, Ontario). Helga, born on October 26, 1937, passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Helga for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Helga’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Jacob and Henry Rahn; her brother Gerhard; her sister-in-law Ingrid Reimer; and her daughter-in-law Helen.
She is survived by: her children, Ed, Rick (Erika) and Debbie Peters (John). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Niagara United Mennonite Church (1775 Niagara Stone Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S1T0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery (1483 Lakeshore Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S1J0).
