She was predeceased by: her husband Reginald Haines; her grandchildren, Courtney Beckett, Jason Beckett (Carissa), Mitchell Haines (Claire), Darren Haines (Samantha), Max Bartram (Hailey), Abigail Haines and Griffin Haines; her great grandchildren, Liam Beckett, Jack, Henry Haines, Harlow Haines and Heidi Slamka Bartram; her parents, William Hunter and Grace Hunter; her brother Bob Hunter; and her brother-in-law Alan Counsell.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Beckett (Bruce), Janice Stepien (Don), Don Haines (Deanna) and Bill Haines (Margo); her sisters, Eileen Counsell and Willo McMillan (Steve); and her sister-in-law Ruth Hunter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her large extended family.
In memory of Virginia, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
