He was predeceased by : his parents, Eila and Arvo Ruoho of Nipigon. He is survived by : his wife Kit; his children, Brandon Ruoho (Julie) of Thunder Bay and Jaimi Long (Adam) of Kitchener; his father-in-law John Smith (Whitey) of Red Rock; his sisters, Sharon Doran and Elaine Begin (Yvon) of Thunder Bay; and his caregivers, Michelle and Julia. He is also survived by Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital.
