He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph McMillan and Eva McMillan; and his siblings, Allan, Melvin, Jack and Donalee.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Colley; his children, Doug, Judy (Dan Keller), Billie (Heidi) and Bonnie (Glen Seabrooke); his grandchildren, Adam, Jay (Katie), Randy Keller, Meaghan (Ryan), Alex McMillan, Julaine, Aislynn, Clarke McMillan, Travis and Carter Seabrooke; and his great grandchildren, Liam Keller, Graysan and Logan Leclerc.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hillside Funeral Services Ltd. (362 Airport Rd, North Bay, ON P1B8W9). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.

Donation to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation of the Alzheimer Society in memory of Garnet will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
