He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Shirley; his son David (Janet) of Carleton Place; his parents, Douglas and Nellie; his brother Frank; his niece Eleanor; his sister-in-law Grace Thom; his niece Karen Groom; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allison (Cyrus Zahedi) and Brittany (Mike Gioseff); his cousins, Judy Strato, Lloyd Myllynen, Beth Heal (Terry) and Barrie; his brother-in-law Dennis Jensen (Leena Jensen); and his niece Carley Jensen (Rob Harris).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Martyn Funeral Home (464 Wyld St, North Bay, ON P1B1Z5). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Alan's memory to the Trinity United Church, North Bay, the NBRHC Foundation, Crisis Centre North Bay would be greatly appreciated.
