He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Smith and Lumina Smith (Minnie). He is survived by: his wife Angela Smith; his children, John Smith (Shirley), Mark Smith and Shelley Ortepi (Robert); his grandchildren, Jeff, Daryl (Penny), Caitlin (Kerston) and Haley; his great grandchildren, Jacoby, Elliette and Blair; and his siblings, Margaret, Jane, Isabelle, Irene, Leona, David and Diane.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGuinty Funeral Home (591 Cassells St, North Bay, ON P1B3Z8). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or Diabetes Canada would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
