He was predeceased by : his father Leander; his siblings, Reino, Unto, Taisto and Hilja; and his spouse Rauni Anna-Liisa.
He is survived by : his close friend Eevi Ylimäki.
In keeping with Elmer's wishes, donations in his name to Eastholme Home for the Aged, and Kid's Sport, will be welcome.
