He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Pauline; his children, Kimberley (Henry) and Burton; his father Edgar; his siblings, Colin MacDonald (Melina), Marion Mason (Ian) and Ian Macdonald; and his grandchildren, John, Adam, Henry, Logan, Burton Jr., Ava, Clark, Rylie and Ethan.
Donations to Toronto Sick Kids Hospital in Memory of Derek will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
