With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Loreen Sykes (North Bay, Ontario), who passed away on February 16, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin; her son Kenneth; her partner Alcide Mercier; her brother Glenn; her grandson Tyler; her great grandchild Harper; and her daughter-in-law Carole.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene (Ron) and Wayne; her grandchildren, Jordan, Jenna, Kayla (Matt), Errin, Megan (Justin) and Alanah (Niul); her great grandchildren, Riley, Nora, Noah, Kennyth and Bailee; and her brothers, Clayton, Garry (Diane) and Blair (Madeline).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McGuinty Funeral Home (591 Cassells St, North Bay, ON P1B3Z8). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
If desired, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice (North Bay) would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
