He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Porter; and his parents, Lyola "Lyle" Porter and Lillian Porter. He is survived by: his children, Mark Porter (Sue), Jennifer Porter and Valerie Mourot; his stepchildren, David McCharles (June), Dianne McCharles and Leona McCharles (Jason); his brother Lyle Jr. Porter (Carole); and his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Larissa Mourot, Victoria and Vanessa Porter.
