With sadness, we share the passing of Joan Kathnelson (North Bay, Ontario). Joan passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Joan for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Joan’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Kathnelson (Skipper); her parents, Arthur and Mildred; and her brother Raymond. She is survived by: her siblings, Gail Norman (William Norman (Bill)) and Ruben Larondeau; her sister-in-law Brenda; and her children, Tammy (Dan Veaudry) and Tracy (Ron Collins). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, five grandchildren, six great and two children.
A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Callander Union Cemetery (510 Mountain Rd, Callander, ON P1B8Z4).
