She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Byers; her granddaughter Zoey; her parents, Anna May (Peever) and Gordon Grawbarger; and her siblings, Priscilla Martin (late Ed), Nellie Kendrew (late Ken), Estella Vincent (late Bob), Lloyd Grawbarger (Silvia) and Vernon Grawbarger.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Connell (Allan) of Bruce Mines, Penny Etherington (Jim) of Thunder Bay and Jerry Byers (Jennifer) of Callander; her grandchildren, Jeffery Connell, Kevin Connell (Katie), Shane MacDonald (Courtney), Amanda DeCorte (BJ), Alex Byers (Brianna) and Dakota Byers (Ayden); and her great grandchildren, Diezel, Mack, Jake, Zak, Chase, Trenton, Payton, Emma, Benson and Cassidy.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paul Funeral Home (531 Main St, Powassan, ON P0H1Z0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Nipissing Cemetery (4506 ON-654, Nipissing, ON P0H1W0).
