He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Demers and Cécile Demers. He is survived by : his wife Diane Demers; his children, Micheline McWhirter (Gregory), Alain Demers (Theresa) and Lisette Demers (Adam Hawke); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Lincoln Louis, Aurora and Olive; and his siblings, Victor, Claude (Karen), Marc (Marvel) and Paul (Gisèle).

As per the family's wishes, a visitation will be held at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) Tuesday February 16th, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. (Due to Current Covid-19 Restrictions Attendance at a visitation is scheduled by appointment only. Please call the funeral home to book your appointment time 705-472-8520). The family will have a private funeral service due to COVID-19.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay and District Humane Society and North Bay Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.
