He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his children, Maureen Neil (Bob) and Garth Laplante (Micheline); his grandchildren, Zacc, Shinna Pritchard, Veronica, Austin Neil, Dakota, Cierra Laplante, Blaine Flynn and Anthony Savard; and his great grandchildren, Haileigh, McKenna Pritchard, Jodie, Jazmine Giroux, Jordan, Ellyse and Millie Flynn.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Maurice.
