He was predeceased by: his brother Bill Hampel. He is survived by: his wife June Rudiger (Howson); his children, Theresa Rudiger of Arnstein, Allen Rudiger (Monique) of Rutherglen and Debbie MacLachlan (Don) of Nipissing; his grandchildren, Kristina, Ashley, Alyson, Miranda, Samantha, Tyler and Patch; his brother Paul Rudiger of Azilda; Kameron, Everett and Wesley.
