It is with great sadness that we announce the death of May Nasmyth Flegel (North Bay, Ontario), born in Sheffield, England, who passed away on November 30, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Charles Richard Nasmyth; her husband George Richard Flegel; her parents, Ernest Smith and Agnes Smith of Sheffield, England.; and her siblings, Ernest Smith (Mona), Ron Smith, Nora Smith, Theresa Saunders (Joe), Jennie Goulder (Jim) and Maureen Thompson (George).
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Barbara Smith; and her grandchildren, Donna, John, Kelly, Christina, David, Karen, Tara, Joanna, Angela, Monica, Gabriel, Jason, Ronda, Louis, Melanie, Greg, Patrick and Michael. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Covid-19 restrictions will apply including vaccination proof, masks will be mandatory while in the Funeral Home as well as social distancing requirements.
