He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita and Thomas; and his brother Paul. He is survived by: his wife Violet; his children, Laura, Michael Jr. (Kendra), Dana (Mike) and Angie (Don); his grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Jack and Malis; his great grandchildren, Vienna, Paisley, Kaiden and Keaton; and his siblings, Joanne, Ken (Deb), Rose (Joe), Pat (late Marilyn), Claude (Julie), Claudette (Doug) and Angie (Rick). He is also survived by many extended family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, SickKids, or Lupus Canada.
