He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila; his parents, Donald and Dorothy; and his siblings, Jean Hurley, Ruth Wise, Shirley Crawford (Jose), Ron (Dorothy), Stan and Gary "Pete" Wright (Cheryl).

He is survived by: his children, Melinda Wright (Rodney), Neville and Murray James; his brother Wayne; and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Tombol (late Jim), Larry Hutchinson (late Carol), Donald Hutchinson (Betty) and Ann Birley (late Larry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
