He was predeceased by: his wife Ina; his son Dwight Brooks; his grandson Kevin Brooks; his siblings, Edward Raaflaub, Lois Carpenter and Wayne Brooks (Betty); and his parents, George Brooks and Matilda Brooks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Nadeau (Andre) and Diane Reid (late Rick); his siblings, Shirley Schmidt, Audrey Empey, Beverley Schnider (Peter) and Maynard Brooks (Jeananne); and his extended family Legion. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel (9 Paget St, Sundridge, ON P0A1Z0). A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
