She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son Mark Jeffery Shier; and her parents, Walter George Shier and Thelma Barbara Shier.
Her spare time was spent giving of herself to being the first President of the North Bay Regional Hospital Volunteers Association and sitting on the Board of the Hospital, plus the Board of the V.O.N., and Alzheimer's Society.
