She is survived by: her children, Susan (Wayne), Cathy (Laurent), Tim (Judy) and Randy Shirley; and her sister Judy Loach.
Memorial donations may be made in Shirley's name to the Palliative Care Unit at the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation.
