He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Crites (Leclair); his friends, Helen Hunter and Lucille Sampson; his parents, John Crites and Ada Fetterly; his stepmother Bea Crites (Casselman); his sons, Richard and Andy; his siblings, George, Irwin, Hughie, Glen, Gordon, Claude, Irene, Viola and Audrey; and his grandchildren, Christopher, William, Leah, Garold, Lauri Ann, Glen, Garnet Jr., Betty-Lou, Samantha, Paul, Delray, Derek, Adam, Alex, Elijah and Krystal.
He is survived by: his children, Esther Adamowicz (Ben), David Crites (Janet), Linda Birch (John), Jane Abel (Garnet), Jim Crites (Joann) and Stephen Crites (Nicole); his sibling Wylda; his great grandchildren, Estera, Isabella, Dartagnan, Boni Marie of Jasmine, LJ, Kelsy Lynn, Evan, Alexis, Josie, Noah, James, Thomas, Chase, Nova, Abigail, Kayce, Maverick, Oliver and Theodora; and his great great grandchildren, Brodie and Theo.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Martyn Funeral Home (464 Wyld St, North Bay, ON P1B1Z5). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (1075 Tower Dr, North Bay, ON P1B8G2).
In lieu of flowers donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation, Patient Wish Program- Palliative Care would be appreciated.
