Valerie Edith James Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Edith James (North Bay, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Warren A. James; her brothers, Richard Prescott (Dick) and Stan Scott; and her sister-in-law Sharon Scott. She is survived by: her children, Clinton James and Mandy Hampel; her son-in-law Ken Hampel; her grandson Turner Hampel (Marina); her brother Ken Prescott (Madeleine); her sister-in-law Anna Prescott; and her siblings, Lois Graham (Wayne), Dawn Scott and John Dawson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Margaret's Anglican Church's (Rutherglen) building repair fund will be humbly appreciated by Val's family. Donations can be made at the Caisse Populaire in Bonfield or by mailing a cheque payable to the Caisse Populaire at 230 Yonge Street, Bonfield, ON, P0H 1E0 with a notation referencing "St. Margaret's Building Repairs" tax receipts will be issued.
