“David's family and his friends in Germany have learned about his passing and would like to express sincere condolences. I am Katharina, one of his nieces, through his partner Gitta Urbschat, my aunt. I will remember David as a kind, courageous man who managed to keep a positive outlook on life despite the terrible persecution, loss and pain that he suffered in his youth. It would be good to know if there is a burial site or a tombstone for him, so that we could visit it and pay our respects.”
