He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helene Shomair; and his children, Benji (Rebecca Shomair), Ari Shomair (Erin Reich) and Nicole (Michael Shiman).

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM. A shiva was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
