He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey; his brother Sheldon; his sister-in-law Susan Taerk; and his parents, Morris Taerk and Belle Taerk.

He is survived by: his children, Amanda Taerk and Evan Taerk; his daughter-in-law Megan Bonnell; and his grandchildren, Stevie and Zadie Taerk.
