He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Silvester and Mildred Silvester; his wife Rosemary; his daughters, Debbie and Kim; his son-in-law Mike; his close friend Freddie; his siblings, Ken Silvester (Janet Laverne Baker) and Linda (Michael Osuch); his sister-in-law Doneen Silvester; his nieces and nephews, Steve, Donna Doodchenko, Kathy, Nelson Cheung and Sherry Doodchenko; his siblings, Joan (Leo Doodchenko) and Bruce Silvester; his sister-in-law Lynda Silvester; and his nephew Michael Doodchenko.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 9th 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ward Funeral Home, "weston Chapel" (2035 Weston Rd, York, ON M9N1X7).
