He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Irene; his son Bernard (Heather); his grandchildren, Joshua and Kate; his son Daniel; his daughter-in-law Sandra; his sister Irma; his nieces, Sonia and Rosalie; his nephew Raymond; his sister Hilda; and his parents, Julius Matutat and Emile Matutat.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ward Funeral Home - Weston Chapel (2035 Weston Rd, Toronto, ON M9N1X7). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
