He was predeceased by : his former life partner Betty; his parents, Arthur and Ellen; and his siblings, Frances Leitch and Jack.

He is survived by : his wife Joan Mary; his children, Jean, Audrey Allman (Malcolm) and Sheila Trant (Dave); his grandchildren, Jennifer and Lindsay Allman; his stepson Gary MacDonald (Margaret-Anne); and his stepgrandchildren, Brett, Jeffrey, Kelly and Anna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
