Wayne Akey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Akey of Northbrook, Ontario, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Wayne shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Wayne farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his father Lawson Akey; his stepson Vernon Wales; and his sister Wilma Deshane (Bob). He is survived by: his close friend Fay Ruttan; his mother Violet Akey; and his siblings, Wanda Snider (late Bill), Wendy Akey and Wes Akey (Tina). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Memorial donations made to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
