Gary Thompson Obituary
We announce the death of Gary Thompson (Norwich, Ontario), who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 80. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Thompson and Helen Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Robin; his daughters, April Michienzi (Mario), Jamie Ransom (Scott), Nicole Sanderson (Kevin) and Jodi Del Guercio (Giovanni); and his sister Karen Thompson (William Sellen). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home (45 Main St W, Norwich, ON N0J1P0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 190-Norwich (55 Stover St S, Norwich, ON N0J1P0).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in memory of Gary be made to the VON Sakura House, in Woodstock.
