Ron Avey Obituary

We announce the death of Ron Avey (Norwich, Ontario), who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 88. Ron will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Laurie (Barb); and his sister-in-law Fran (late Frank). He is survived by: his wife Marie (Bishop); his daughter Kristen; his grandsons, Leland and Lucas; his parents, Kendrick Avey and Evelyn Avey (Cowan); his siblings, Donna (late Tom), Elaine (late Cliff), Sandra (Bob), Carol (late Dave) and Murray (Mary); his brother-in-law George Bishop; and his uncle Russell.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Norwich United Church (80 Main St W, Norwich, ON N0J1P0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VON Sakura House – Woodstock.
