He was predeceased by: his grandchild Isla Azaria; his parents, Albert and Vera (Saxton); his stepmother Olga (Batenchuk); and his brothers, Don (Donny) and Barrie.

He is survived by: his wife Monika; his daughter Brigitte Azaria; his son-in-law Justin (Justin); his grandchild Avery; his stepsiblings, Al Shrupka and Diane Ising; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Young (Jeff Wuolle) and Ralph Gyarmathy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A graveside service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L6H7A8). A reception was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L6H7A8).
